Become an End-to-Ender
On the Adirondack Trail and other long distance hiking trails, an "end-to-ender" is someone who has hiked the entire distance of the trail, dozens or hundreds of miles. It’s a lot less strenuous to become a Cayuga Waterfront Trail End-to-Ender! Just donate a stepping stone at each trailhead, and as the trailheads are constructed, and you will be able to trace your support along the waterfront from Cass Park to the County Visitor Center. End-to-Enders will be acknowledged at the Visitors Center Trailhead on a special vertical marker. There will be 5 trailheads located on the trail, at Cass Park (already constructed), Inlet Island, Farmers Market, Stewart Park, and the Tompkins County Visitor Center. If you commit to being an End-to-Ender, we will send you a reminder when it is time to make a contribution for the next trailhead. If you already have a stone at the Cass Park Trailhead, you're on your way. And if you don't yet have a stone in Cass Park it is not too late to become an End-to-Ender as there are many Cornerstones available, along with one Keystone and a few Rolling Stones. Purchase a stone online, or by contacting Amy Fuhr at the Chamber of Commerce to arrange for stones at Cass Park and upcoming trailheads. End-to-End opportunities are also available for trail furnishings such as dog care stations, milestones and benches.
